It's reasonably fast and painless if you plan ahead a bit, and have all your paperwork in order. The employees here are helpful and patient, especially if you exhibit the same. For license plate renewal, it's easiest to use the Colorado state renewal site online.
Haven't had an issue going here. Appointment only, so make sure you do that before going in, but they've been on time both times and that's nice!
Haven't been in Colorado too long so first time experiencing the DMV system here. And typically when I see a review of a government entity that says it's fantastic my first thought is normally, "whose nephew got paid to post this?" But in actuality, 5 minutes in and out. Excellent service.
Carol at Counter 9 was a very rude person, I went in there to do a quick renewal because I had to show insurance and as soon as I told her what I needed done she changed her attitude and started acting like I was breaking all the rules. I know that exceptions can be made and that renewals take less than 5 minutes to do especially since I couldn’t use the online, mail in or whatever else she said because my grace period was ending. I know she doesn’t make the rules but try to be a bit nicer to people who come to the counter, I felt like I was a burden to her day and that renewals weren’t her job! When I asked for her name she didn’t want to give it, nor was she wearing her badge where the public could see it. She wouldn’t hand me my items but simply tossed them on the counter. Maybe some additional training would be necessary for her…
As for not being able to do reviews at the Counter that makes absolutely no sense as renewals are the staple of any County in Colorado. I get the appointment thing and agree that it helps with the flow but when you have 6 clerks on the line and no one at the counter being helped, where does that make sense? I guess it’s what we voted for. I really hope someone looks into Joan Lopez and her ability to do run a Clerk and Recorder Office more effectively. Seems to be wanting to take money from the Citizens but not do the work for it. 👍🏻
We went after lunch and because of Covid-19 they like you to have an appointment. I didn't have an appointment because I went to the King Soopers kiosk and it wouldn't let me get another temporary tag. I walked in and they were very polite and gave me a number. It took about an hour. The service was very friendly and professional. When I walked out of the building the "walk in" line was down the front stairs and around the front of the building. If you don't make an appointment make sure you are there early morning or right after lunch.
This is the best DMV in Arapahoe county. In fairness I haven't been to all of them, but after being frustrated at 3 or 4 other offices I tried the Littleton branch and won't go anywhere else if I can help it. It's always quiet and not crowded. If I just need to renew my tags the kiosk is out in the main hallway instead of the waiting area, which is nice.
Jennifer, the team lead at the dmv, is the most rude and condescending person I have ever met in my life. She has a bad attitude, but it might just be her personality. Good luck if she ever has to come over and help you. You're better off just taking the bus than ever talking with her!!! 🚌 …
Always an amazing experience when you are in and out of the DMV in less than 15 minutes. This is consistently done at this office.
Even though there is always a wait, the clerks are very nice. Use the kiosk for faster service when renewing. Update, you must have an appointment if your inable to use kiosk
Absolutely the best DMV in the NATION! I am in and out in a jiff due to appointment based systems. I LOVE going to this DMV because I know I will be in and out in a flash. The associates are so friendly and helpful that I forgot that it was the DMV! Best experiences of my life and I have registered 4 vehicles at different times. Every time the experience gets BETTER? Wow. Great job guys!
